Hudson Lock Key cutting machine 578B

Since I finished my Locksmith Course. I received my Key machine. It is a Hudson Lock Key cutting machine 578B. The machine works great. It even has a feature to cut keys without electricity. I tried it and works just as good. It is automatic. Insert the keys and push the button and it cuts automatically. There is a crank handle on the end for running it manually.

I will just use it in my hobby of picking locks and cutting keys for my own use.

Question - how does it cut without electricity? Manual pulley to turn the cutter?

It has a gearbox with a crank handle. To use it you push the handle in to engage. I have tried it and it spins almost as fast as the electrical motor and cut a key the same way. Works great/
