Got My Lishi & Picked My 10th Lock!

Postby 108CAM » 14 Mar 2023 3:00

Got my Lishi tool today and after a bit of practice and getting used to how it feels, I picked a lock with it for the first time! This is also my 10th pick overall and first time picking a 6 pin lock.
I used a lock that I knew the bitting code for so I knew what each pin felt like as I was picking.

The lock I picked was a Lockwood 334B45 with a C4/LW4 keyway that contains all standard pins which were transplanted from another lock.
Because I live in Australia, I made a logical choice and purchased a Lishi LW5 because the vast majority of non restricted keyways in Australia use the C4/LW4 profile and the LW5 will allow me to pick, rekey and decode what would've been useless locks.
