I recently spent a few hours picking my rooms lock using a paperclip and screwdriver when I got locked out. however, I turned the lock and the plug turned, but nothing happend, the door was still locked. It can be opened by turning either way, so what happened?
Well if your sure it can be unlocked by turning the key either direction, then the only thing I can think of is maybe you didn't turn it far enough. If there is a spring force on the plug, sometimes it can be difficult to turn, so I sometimes (after picking with a normal tension wrench) use a small flat head screwdriver to turn the plug so I can turn it against the spring without the chance of bending my tension wrench.
