ACE II Tubular Lock

Postby Pickermeapie » 3 Oct 2005 10:51

Hey All,
Trying to pick a Offset 7 Ace II Lock on a Vending Machine T-Lock. Having a bit of difficulty openining the lock with the Peterson Pro, Southord 8 Pin and even Modified tension wrench with feeler pick. Anyone know if these locks have security pins? With the Peterson Pick, I can hear the loud clacks of the pins "Setting" but it dosen't open. Any suggestions with these picks and/or Lock? Thanks for your replies in advance.

Don't pick vending machine locks
I have to, how else would I cut a key for the man that lost the origonal. Plus, I don't think someone would buy a Peterson and a southord to get a Soda, or the money. I already picked the cylinder though. Just required a bit of patience thats all. As for the future, Sublime, Please don't think that I'm picking for theivery, its not my style and it is just plain insulting.

I'm sure young sublime was just reacting the same way many users would to a question about picking vending machine locks. I'm sure he meant no disrespect Pickermeapie. I don't think he's been around long enough to key into your 66 posts and the fact that you've been a member for 2 days short of a year (congrats, btw! :) ).

Even I had to do a bit of a double take to notice who was making the post, because my first instinct was that this was just another "hey dudes, how do I get into the coke machine at my highschool?" thread. ;)

Cheers. :)

Stupid newbi- Oh... Wait...

Sounds like you might have to drill it and replace it. Sounds like it is a private machine (I don't know any vending machines that still use the Ace II)? Also, I believe they do have security pins.

However, some tubular cylinders (e.g. the Ace-II lock and the tubular models of American-brand padlocks) are made to very tight tolerances and use mushroom, spool, and serrated security pins.

My sincere apology, Pickermeapie, I meant no offense. I did not realize you were asking as a job perspective. I just assumed that you were a newb that wanted to make 7up theirs. Honestly, I dont think i even looked at who was posting  no hard feelings hopefully

There are actual 'cheats' you can enter on soda machines so that you can alter all the stats ie buy one get one free, alter the price etc, im not posting it here but they are on the net to be found.

Press the buttons in certain orders and they give a lot easier than touching the lock at all.

donkeyumed!!! That's great! I'm sure the language filter was just trying to assist you. I'm sure it was not trying to assault you. Donkey is just the word that the admins decided to assign. It simply associates it with the word you wanted to type. And having the language filter really is and asset.

Hope I could be of assistance!

Try a real high tension on the southord (by the way, I add an o-ring so that there are two o-rings in the tool). I usually crank it really tight for an ace II, but there are still some I can't seem to get and end up drilling.

It would be easier if the filter had the secific words rather than useing a ss* as a generic term that way poor spellers like me wouldnt get donkey all the time.

The code won't actually give you free things unless the switches have been set correctly in the soda machine, which is highly unlikely. You can see the amount of product sold, amount remaining, machine temperature etc. The default code is probably searchable on google with the top button being 1, the next down being 2, etc. I don't think any harm will come from this one being posted as again, the machine has to be set up specifically to allow this to give you anything. If I'm wrong just delete it.

Sorry but you are wrong to an extent, ive got the details for a lot of present day machines and all the coke and pepsi ones (thats, 7up, fanta etc) can all be altered to give varying results, some will give free cans and some wont, ive not been sent any or come across any that give the money out however but yes free stuff can be done along with the fact that you can change the prices and either rip the customer off or the machine owner.

In my eyes you part of the post that says the combo should be removed but thats not my call, at least you didnt give the horizontal button layout code as its those that mainly give the free stuff,

It does perplex me however that you thought it adequate to post such info when another member had already said it wasnt suitable ie ME

I forgot to say that some machines do have to have the dip switches set correctly inside but most dont,

I pointed to the net as most of the stuff i have has come from a vending machine company and isnt on the net, the simple stuff is and most couldnt use it so i wasnt actually making a bad post by suggesting it.
