Can you pin locks so bumping doesn't work?

Bump keys and lock bumping finally have their own area. Discuss making bump keys, proper bumping techniques, and countermeasures here.

Ok, I admit you are right. The topic is prevent bumping. I suppose that means 100% of the time. But I said:
I'm thinking it would make locks at least 10 times harder to bump.
and then you said:

So what do we want? A solution that is acceptable risk? or 100% no way to bump? A Medco biaxial isn't 100% solution to picking, but it's an acceptable risk. And alternating pin weight and spring stiffness will cost a whole lot less than a Medco and might provide acceptable risk to bumping. Just my rantings. Thanks for listening. - Joe

IMHO....the solution to bumping is using locks that dont have top pins (drivers) like Bilock or Abloy....or we go back to lever locks like the old Ingersoll Rand cylinders...or Brahma cylinders.

Has anyone successfully bumped a tubular lock?

Sorry, This is my first post, and this may be ignorant. I also realize this thread is a month old, but I was surfing around here, and this thread made me think a little bit.

Would it be that expensive/troublesome to make all the pins magnetic, that way the collisions of the pins would be inelastic, and not separate the pins, while still alloying them to open when properly set at the shear line with a key or pick?

Just my 2 cents.

PS) I am going to start a intro thread for you guess to get to know me better!
