Metal ruler with a rubber stop fixed to the end.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

If you can still find them a decent sized screwdriver with a long shaft and the older/industrial style handles that are made of hard plastic are pretty good, just wrap it in vinyl or something similarly flexible if you are concerned about chipping.

Hi. Usually it all depends on generating the right vibration for the pins to separate.

You can try out different rulers with different type of rubbers on the end.

Generally the tool mentioned previously is quite efficient.
