Can lock bumping work on best core locks? I have been trying but can get the swing of things. If so any tips?

Can it work? Possible, but much more difficult than normal. Also, the lock is more easily deformed/damaged by bumping. Be sure you are not bumping a lock in use!!!

The biggest problem with bumping BEST locks is the key stop is the plate at the back of the core. Hit this too many times and the thing will come loose, making the core inop as the plug will side forward, or worse come out of the core due to the "retainer,' or the thing which keeps the core together is now loose. Only solution is to pull the core with the control key, and hammer the thing back on.'

Sometimes you can avoid destroying the core and key tip stop plate/plug retainer by shortening the keyblank. You will have to carefully adjust the spacing of the key cuts for bumping. Then use the thick, heavy rubber band between the face of the plug and the bow of the key to prevent the tip of the key from hitting the retainer and damaging it.

Bumping an SFIC is still problematic because the core has TWO shear line and you cannot tell one from the other. Some pins may catch on the lower and some will catch on the upper. You cannot control this.

It may be better to make an SFIC turning tool specifically to remove the core and practicing learning to pick them. Using this turning tool you will be trying to turn the plug and sidebar at only one shear line.
Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool. Wisdom is not just in determining how to do something, but also includes determining whether it should be done at all.

Very difficult to do since there is no shoulder-stop like most key blanks. The warding stops before the key bow, too.

On the classic keyways, yes. The PKS keyways (at least the ones I've seen) do have a shoulder stop as well. Though admittedly you're not very likely to encounter one of those in the wild. Looks like some of their other specialty lines (e.g. Peaks) may as well, though I don't personally own any of those (yet ;-) ).

Only the Wx series of the PKS sections have that shoulder. The Tx series of PKS sections do not.

Unless you are very willing to destroy the lock, I wouldn't try it. It can happen very easily on SFIC.
