Hi All,
have you read the great article explaining the bump key method for opening high security dimple locks ? You can open many high security locks using this method, check it out here http://www.toool.nl/bumping.pdf This stuff has come into the public domain recently from germany and then Holland via the dutch open lock picking organisation 'toool'. Let me know what you think and maybe I can answer any questions.

Hey saint. Many of us have on this forum have seen that paper, and it is a good one indeed. Barry Wels comes by here every now and again and he provided us witht the link a while back.

Thanks for sharing tho. It was a great paper.

hi digital_blue,
ok thanks for letting me know, Barry is also the inventor of the cryptophone that allows secure digital communications via the gsm mobile telephone system. What the article doesn't explain is that if you are going to use this method to open a lock it is best to use a rubber style hammer or mallet. This is because the impulse (force * time) transferred to the pins in the lock when you hit the bump key is greater due to the longer contact time during the 'rap' when a soft material such as rubber is used !
