What Chesty actually said, was more to the effect of... "We're surrounded? These sorry bastards. Now we can attack in any direction we want" --From a Marine

Depth & Spacing

Postby gandalf » 8 Aug 2006 11:22

Does anyone know of a good resource that provides proper depth and spacing for the popular blanks (schlage, kw1, etc)? That would be the all the information needed to blindly make bump keys if you don't already have a cut blank, right?

If you take the time to search for your answer before posting you will find This link mentioned many times,

Infact to find that link myself i put 'depth and space charts' into the search and got 2 thread results and it wasnt hard to find the link on the 2nd post of the first thread.

Ebay is a good place to get blanks

They have removed the information from that page:-
"Due to an unusual and widespread interest in bump keys,
we have closed this page until further notice.
DLA Security Systems Inc. "

- is there another source? (yes - I checked with "search" first)

The info is still there but moved to a slightly differant address,

Look for a post made by Raccoon on it and then a reply made by Aqua for the new link,

If its not there try altering the address to get to the main website and go from there,
