i just made one yesterday (rough cuts, etc), and the lock popped open in under 5 minutes. after i learned how to do it better, i can now do it first or second try. it really does not take much skill, but its a fun method none the less. just dont have cuts that are too steep, cut them to 999 or 10 10 10, and bump that sucker. i found that pulling the key out of the keyway 1 pin (so only 4 of the 5 pins are in their key grooves) and then hitting it from the back while giving a VERY slight bit of pressure to the side of the key for turning with my thumb works best. good luck!
