BEST SFIC bump key— How to make an ideal cut?

Bump keys and lock bumping finally have their own area. Discuss making bump keys, proper bumping techniques, and countermeasures here.

You can damage SFICs quite easily by bumping them because the only thing stopping the key is where the tip stop hits. I am wondering whether it might be a good idea to add some sort of stop (perhaps a sleeve with a set screw that can be attached to various keyways) that will stop the bump key on the face of the lock and just to be safe cut the bottom tip stop back a bit.

This is very true on the new Cormax cylinders. They had to redesign the clip to interact with the slider and more of it is in the keyway.
