Last cut on a bump key

Bump keys and lock bumping finally have their own area. Discuss making bump keys, proper bumping techniques, and countermeasures here.

Last cut on a bump key

Postby ckc123 » 26 Nov 2013 19:27

Not sure if this is an issue or if others have noticed/care..

I've noticed that when I cut a bump key using the code on a KW1 key, the portion of the key closest to the tip, is a lot higher then the raised portion between each cut.

(Note this key was cut to exaggerate the difference in the tip)

Since the theory is that all the keys should get the same "impact" does anyone cut these down so they match the same raised portions in the rest of the key??
