Bump Key Plug Spinner Attachment

Postby Warbs87 » 31 Mar 2014 15:37

Seems like most locks are easier to bump one way or another. I have seen these tools available but they must be easy to make, I have cut the ends of a couple keys so they fit in my plug spinner with plyers to make it work but would nice to find a cheap way to make something to stick in the plug spinner that would have the same effect.

Any ideas on what I could try?

I hear you can make plug spinner from a rat trap. I have not tried it yet. I may get around to it this week.

This thread shows one made with mouse traps. A rat trap has a pretty strong spring.

I took a dremel tool and cut a slot in the end of one of my bumpkeys to try spinning it, haven't really used it yet though. Luck with regular picks has been on my side lately! I imagine my slot would work though, just cut a slot and put your plugspinner into the slot. Depending on the strength of your spinner and the mass of your key, it may not work. A DND SC4 key is a lot more mass for a spinner to spin, after all.
