I have an old steamer trunk with a latch type lock. What is the best way to pick this lock. Could not find specific help here

Those take a simple, flat steel key. There's a good chance a decent sized locksmith shop might have one in stock. If it's not too heavy, I'd suggest just packing it up in the car and taking it to a good shop. They might be able to fix you up quick.

Ask them if they have a T-44 or T-46 those are the two most common for that type of lock. keymaster
