Keil keys

Postby 105finn-alley » 14 Sep 2015 15:52

I am looking for information on Keil key crossover to to Ilco,Star,Taylor Dominion etc. Ilco bought out Keil in the 60s but kept no records. I have contacted Ilco with no results. I have tried the internet but no go. I spoke with a locksmith with 75 years in the business. He still has Keil equipment but does not know where any of his Keil paperwork is. I have apps 48+ different Keil blanks and appx 350+ Keil keys. We have bought out 4 locksmiths in the last 3 years. And the Keil keys just keep adding up. Any help will be appreciated.

Yep,
Keil was formed in 1876, and was bought out by ilco in the 1930's. The keil logos from before then said Keil New York, after the buyout, they just said Keil. Got this info there.
