Digital mechanical lock

Postby nirm » 21 Jun 2016 14:53

Good evening guys,
I'm new here, so sorry for the newbies questions ;)
I have a situation in my flat that I am renting out to tenants. I remembered I fitted a cheap mechanical lock on of the bedroom doors but I do not remember the code and after 4 years of renting out the flat... they closed the door locked and cannot open it again.
They are about to call a professional and will charge around 250 GBP for the job; needless to say I am motivated to find a solution...
I could not find online the exact type of lock it is but it is of the cheapest of the cheapest, 10 buttons only, 1 to 9, and a C button.
Any thoughts?
Many many thanks in advance!
Cheers!
Alex

Why is this being posted in Ask beginner lock picking questions? This is a combination lock with a code we dont discuss those in the beginner pin tumbler lock picking areas, moving this to This Old Lock.

There is a destructive entry method and a bypass method that can be used on these locks, unfortunately I am not permitted to discuss either here.

If you are interested in the bypass method, I suggest you watch this YouTube clip and then check out the link in the description. Note that this is just one of several videos and vendors for this type of bypass.

Removed link to bypass video. Please keep videos of bypass methods in the advanced forums. Yes, it was on YouTube, but we don't want to be the ones showing kids and criminals how to bypass that lock.

If you are Wales based I can under cut that very steep charge for you and open it :p but also this shouldn't be put here because of popularity it isn't the safest thing to advertise how to break into it.

Your better off getting a locksmith none the less and getting it recoded.
