identify a lock

I bought a tour pack for my bike and the lock did not have a key, when i opened it up the latch broke off of it. There are no identifing marks on the lock, took it by a local lock smith and he did not know who made it or where i could find one. the flat sides measure 13/16 , 15/16- 1 inch diameter, and a length of 1 3/8 inches. the front face measures 1 1/2 inches, there are also square notches at the top and bottom , i am suspecting they are to assist in not letting the lock rotate. but anyway i would appreciate any help in identifing this lock or where i may find one to replace it with. thanks

Years ago I had a tour pack on my bike. When I bought a couple more to put on the sides I found out they offered a "one key" pack. Basically they offered one new key and two or more locks to mount on all the bags so you could have them keyed alike.

Your best bet would be to go where you bought it, or where they sell similar bike accessories, and contact their customer service. They may be able to sell you a replacement lock.

Keep in mind that those bags, even if have a key, are very easy to break into. Don't leave valuables inside them when you park your bike.

yes well unfortunately, i bought this from a swap meet and the tour pack did not have any names on it and neither does the lock.

A bike accessories shop may be able to identify it. It's worth a try.

Are you sure there is nothing written under it? A serial number, a small brand name embossed in the plastic...
