Nut for Abloy Cam Lock?

Postby ltjr » 22 May 2020 13:00

What is the size and pitch of the nut on the shank of an Abloy cam lock?

The thread pitch is not one that is on either my SAE or metric thread gauges.

Thanks,
-lt

Which generation Abloy cam lock, a photo would help us give you a good answer.

A photo of the keyhole or key as well so we know it it is old or new model line.

Pics can be uploaded to imgur.com and copy/pasted here.

Thanks!

Thanks, good call! I had not been able to locate that document.

It appears the nut is a M8x0.75. Anyone able to confirm?

I can confirm that MY old Abloy cam lock has a squarish shank with the four threaded corners. The thread is indeed 0.75 and the outer diameter is 8 mm. As shown in the diagram, the square side is 7 mm.

Cheers :)
