Have just rekeyed two of these and I am having issue with key when used on one side only (entry from side without screw heads). The key teeth seem to be catching on the casing at the exit end (screw head side) and the curtain will not even move. Have to pull the key out slightly or pull key up for the curtain to move and then works ok. Casing plate does not seem bent. Anyone any ideas.

Sorry for bad focus on video: https://youtu.be/AwOYpNRYIJ4

Sounds like the spacing may be off on your machine.

Thanks for the response :D

If you mean the key cutting machine it is the original keys. Hope you do not mean another machine as keys just changed by hand as as outlined in a couple of youtube videos for this model. It is just the curtain that will not turn at all as the key is catching the outer casing at the other end.

spacing is wrong. Even if an original blank, it might need a little trimming at the front edge to turn freely within the case. Or just possibly, the throat is too tight. Usually though, it is the front edge and the height which need a little trimming first, so the blank turns freely with the case screwed down firmly. Then cutting the steps can be done. Correct spacing tends to be more difficult than step heights — and the key must be symmetrical.
