Hey folks. Ive been able to pick all the locks but the condom machine. If you put a tension bar in there the lock spins around 360 degrees with no resistance. Almost like there is not lock mech in there. I that normal for this type of lock? I don't see anything in there to pick/push/prod. Is that because its a lever lock?

From the photo it looks like a lever lock. They can be picked, so I have read, but it is different than picking pin tumbler locks. Requires a special tension wrench for one thing. There is a nifty animation of how lever locks work on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lever_tumbler_lock

You might consider impressioning a key--that would leave you with a key you could use at any time--there is a good post by one of the moderators on how to do just that http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=62259#p459748 (scroll down to near the end of the first message in the post).

Jacob is right. In that type of lever lock, the bolt is actuated by the key tip, and is not connected to the cam.
This isn't likely the one you have, but yours will look similar inside. http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=61558&hilit=kwoswalt#p454607

Outstanding. Part of me wants to just get it impressioned and be done with it - but the other part of me is yelling Hell Yeah! - Lets try to make that thing. Think I will try and make it. Besides, who wants to walk into the lock smith with a condom machine!

Thanks for all the info (again)!

Good grief, fodder for a punchline string if I've ever seen one.. '"So a guy walks into a locksmith shop carrying a condom machine and says.."

Seriously though, how did this all work out? Did you get it open, were you able to impression a key for it?

Hey ledendre

I have not gotten it open yet. I bought a pair of lever lock picks but have had no luck yet. I dont want to impression a key yet as I like the challenge of picking it myself. I ordered some blanks to try and make my own key using the one video. Dont want to give it to the professionals until Ive totaly given up.
