Discussion of bypass, in fact discussion of automotive locks, are restricted to the advanced forums.
We have discussed the topic as far as is allowed in the open forum. A locksmith (a real one) is your best bet.

If you read from the beginning you'd see that a former owner had the ignition rekeyed, I still don't know if the doors even work with the ignition key, because the o/p never answered my question, besides from here there would be no guarantee the last guy who rekeyed the lock used the same keying chart as the factory Only way the o/p can save money on this thing is to pick the ignition to 'on' adding tension to the sidebar would involve drilling a hole into the steering column, but according to what GWiens said, there isn't one in this lock

i did read from the beginning and i did see that the op never answered the single key question which would have made answering his question a lot easier if it isnt a sidebar you should be able to pick/rake it to on

aaaaand we've come to the end of this thread. Automotive is restricted to the Advanced Topics Area, and I tried to help this OP out by at least giving him ability to discuss his problem in the This Old Lock area and giving him some local locksmith phone numbers, but here we are giving him exact instructions and discussing the raking of auto ignitions, and OP is discussing bypass and destructive methods, which is way beyond the scope of this sub forum, even after my initial explanation at the beginning of the thread of what can and cannot be openly discussed. Locking this thread now, and I think that's the last time we help someone from the public with ignition issues. Sorry folks, we tried. Squelchtone To quote the announcement in this sub forum: "Welcome to the Public - Please read this FIRST" thread in This Old Lock wrote:Postby Squelchtone » Wed Jun 19, 2013 12:55 am Hello, If you are reading this you probably need help fixing an old lock or installing a new one. Although most of this forum is for hobby lock pickers who like to pick locks because they enjoy solving a complicated mechanical puzzle, we occasionally get questions from the public asking for help with a stuck lock, missing instructions, or how to install a lock onto a particular door or frame. *Please note, we cannot help with automotive ignition repair/removal in this area. This Old Lock is intended for home and business owners having trouble with a door lock, not a car lock*Please post your questions here, provide as much detail with what you have already done during the installation of your new lock, or any attempts you have made at taking apart and fixing your old lock. To show us any photos of the lock or procedure you have questions about, please upload your photo to http://imgur.com/ and then Copy/Paste the link to the file.jpg into your post. If you took the photo with your phone it will probably be 3000x3000 pixels, so please use the Imgur Edit button to resize the pic to 800x600 so it fits on the forum and doesn't cut off. This forum is volunteer run and member supported, so please be patient as you wait for an answer to your question. You may also check the box before you press Submit to "Notify me when a reply is posted" This will send you an email to let you know someone has posted a reply to your question. Thank you and we welcome your feedback, The Lockpicking101.com Crew
