The lockset you are asking about can be found here:

http://www.weslock.com/interconnect/lex ... try-handle

A PDF with breakaway diagrams can be downloaded here:

http://www.weslock.com/weslock-library.html

see page F1 for your lockset.

Directions to rekey a lock can be found here:

If you have more questions please take a photo of the parts you are asking about.

I got the cylinder out of the weslock Lexington by taking apart upper portion.

i put it back without taking the cylinder apart.

now the deadbolt will not deploy when i turn the deadlock lever.

but if i put the key in the lock, the deadlock lever works fine. but obviously i can not leave the key in the lock.

i took it apart again, and reassembled it and got same result.

all advice appreciated.

I have the weslock Lexington entry lockset installed and have had 10 keys made by a real locksmith.

Now a new problem.

door from garage to house is kwikset.

mrs. wants one key for both.

i think i should not have had those keys made.

what next step ?

thank you

you have a few choices
rekey the kwickset to work on your weslock keys or buy a new weslock to replace your door lock.

the new weslock is a wk2 blank. i want to rekey the kwikset to the new weslock key.

the wk2 can not be inserted into the kwikset cylinder, so in order to use the new weslock key in the kwikset, i need a weslock cylinder, right ?

if so, where can i buy a weslock cylinder ?

thank you.

Do a search for wesloc ..... home depot is listed aa a source. Just buy the lock and have it keyed to your front door.

A kwickset key will fit a wesloc, while a wesloc key will not fit a kwickset lock( my mistake above)

Kwikset keys enter Weslock cylinders.
Weslock keys do-not enter Kwikset cylinders.

Use a Kwikset key to rekey both locks alike.
