help picking tubular locks on washer machines I bought

Postby neshone » 10 Mar 2016 19:30

Hi guys,

How are u doing? Hope everyone is good ...

So I have a problem with a lock I'm trying to open ... I recently bought three old washer machines but only one of them came with key. So I did some digging in the net and ended up buying a lockpick. I'm able to successfully open one of the locks but the other one is nearly impossible. It has a "GI" marking on it but it looks very similar to the other one ...

Here is a pic of it ..

Am I using the right tool for this one?

Thxs in advance

sorry boss, but we sometimes get tenants who also buy lock picks to get into their apartment buildings washing machine coin boxes or switch boxes to get free washes, and they come here and post a dark close up cell phone photo of a washer machine lock, so just to be safe, we don't help people when it comes to vending machines or washers/dryers, payphones purchased on ebay or craigstlist or at auction. It sounds like you sorta know what you're doing and I'm sure you're on the up and up, but we cant post instructions here that some scum bag tenant might find later by using google search. Keep trying, I'm sure you can open it as you did the other one. youtube videos can be helpful as well to watch how someone else uses the tools.

hope that makes sense, we want to protect the public as well as landlords and business owners from getting ripped off.
