Trunk Lock help

Postby tangojennifer » 8 Dec 2016 16:52

Hi all,

I have a trunk from maybe the 70s (?) that was my mom's and is now mine that I do not have keys for. It contains all of my bedding and when I had guests over, they accidentally closed shut the main lock and now I can't get back into it. The lock says T-45 Long Lock on it and it is one of those locks that is circular and then has a loop for a padlock below. It's the circular lock that I can't figure out. I could just break the trunk as it's not made of a super sturdy material, but as it is really the only thing I have from my mom, I would rather not destroy it! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Go to a full service locksmith and ask for a Long, T45 key. These are pre-cut keys. Or, look on Ebay to buy one if available.
Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool. Wisdom is not just in determining how to do something, but also includes determining whether it should be done at all.
