I just bought a house and we were renovating the bathroom and when we knocked the vanity out built in the foundation is a Gary floor safe in the locked position. How can i get this open easy and low cost.

Most likely this safe is empty. If you are lucky, there is a dead spider in it. If you are really really lucky, you might find something usable or valuable inside, but the gain is probably better if you invest this luck in a lottery ticket.

If you still want to have it open, you can try to use brute force to open it. Youtube is full of idiots destroying safes. You will get ideas from them. If you want to get it open and use it yourself, then you can either call a locksmith having experience with safes (a SAVTA member would be such a person) or investigate yourself. I can't give you technical information here because of forum rules.

it's a commercial safe, so there is no easy and low cost on that kind of unit, they are well made and made to protect valuables. If it was a crappy Sentry from home depot, we could offer you easy with no cost, but you're talking a 2+ inch thick steel door, so you know, drilling a hole into it and using a borescope is really the only option, unless you put an ITL 2000 robo dialer on it for a couple days, but you have to know where to drill otherwise you hit the relockers and then it becomes a $1000 dollar job.

Unfortunately, no cool quick and easy tricks we can show you, there really aren't any. For fun you can ask a local brick and mortal locksmith shop if they do safe openings, let them know you have a Gary lift out door in floor safe, and see how much their quote is to drill it and scope it. probably $250-$750 depending on where you live.

this video might help if you can find the combination written on something near by, or if you can ask prior home owners

and this video I made in 2012 should help demonstrate how these work as well

you could also try dialing some factory default combinations such as 50-25-50 or 50-50-50 or 25-50-75 or 10-20-30, you never know, might get lucky.
