I bought a new in box medeco biaxial K-5002 pin kit.

I've worked with these locks since 1996 and never
seen a jig like this. It says Go and No Go on the smaller
piece.

What is is? I presume it's for checking key cut
spacing.

Thanks

I'm not super familiar with the Medeco family, but I do recall reading that there are valid code books for several of their systems, and certain codes are not allowed. I believe this goes beyond just MACS but also includes what angles and depths are allowed next to each other. Perhaps this is something for checking against those constraints?

it's for adjusting their key machines

Its a gauge for checking the key machine...

I have never seen it come in the 5002 pin kit before.

Sounds like someone misplaced their key machine gauge

Thats my bet... Its rare to need the gauge on the factory machine unless you change the cutter. Those things are built like tanks. We had four machines between air drive and manual drive and they always worked flawlessly
