Baum Safe Purchased for Parts ... Or ??

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Baum Safe Purchased for Parts ... Or ??

Postby djed » 20 Mar 2018 20:47

I believe it's a Baum but not 100%. As I read somewhere that Baum went out of business in 1926, I'm guessing it was built in the mid-20's I'm not sure if there is a date chart that correlates to the serial number (like is available for Mosler). It's about 28" tall, 20" wide, and 20" deep. Seller didn't even know about the damage (see below) so we agreed on a price for the parts. I suppose I could fix it up but this is in pretty bad shape.

When I started reading I thought the "damage" was the money slot cut into the door. A few pictures later I saw the missing bottom... it looks pretty bad but I'm sure you can fix it easily. Bring her back to life!

Cheers :)
