Mosler Fireproof File Cabinet Cylinder

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Hello

i have an old Mosler File cabinet with the cylinder removed I need to rekey and cant seem to hit the release down the guide hole any tips? or anyone have a replacment I can buy that is a differnt key??

You can get key ML 173 from cubiclekeys.com? Just one place, may be others cheaper?

The lock itself is a Chicago Lock product. The hole you see off to the side is for the retainer to remove the plug. But you have to have a key or pick the lock to the correct position to allow access thru that hole to the retainer.

As Stratmando says you can order a key on line probably or any local lock shop should be able to cut one for you.

Dont lose or damage any parts since Mosler is long gone out of business.

I have a working key customer wants the key changed and I cant get the plug to release any pointers?

thanks for all your help its so old the release was sticking had to use some wd40 and the it gave...its rekeyed and reinstalled thanks guys.....
