Safe with Royal Arms escutcheon

I recently moved house and this locked and rusty safe was left in the basement. No signs of a key. There is a hint that the front had a painted design - long since faded away. The only interesting feature is the key escutcheon, which appears to be in the form of the British Royal coat of arms.

Can anyone identify the make and model of this particular safe?

The imgur links above are to an album page on imgur's server that has a single photo embedded in it. I don't like how imgur does that, it gets confusing.

I believe it to be a Thomas Withers & Sons from West Bromwich England. I am not sure the model of your safe, but they all had interesting names, like "The Sandwell" as well as other model names. Are you just trying to get an idea of what it is worth as an antique in case you were to sell it or trying to get a key made so you can use it or have it as working decoration?

You see the 2 screw holes above the handle? That's where the makers name plate would be affixed.

I’d just like to open it out of curiosity. I’ll probably just sell it or get someone to take it away - if they can! I don’t imagine it’s worth much.
