Anyone recognize this in ground cylindrical safe?

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Anyone recognize this in ground cylindrical safe?

I believe it's missing its handle, if I'm able to manipulate it can I just wedge something in the crevices where the handle was and pry it open that way? Any idea how old this is? Image

Where are you located? Certain brands are more popular in certain states. it may help us narrow it down if you mention which state or part of the country you are from?

Thank you,

I'm in Ohio, Northeastern part specifically. The safe is located at the bar I work at- I don't know how long the safe has been there for certain but I've positively dated it back at least 30 years just from word of mouth of people who worked at the bar it was prior. I know the building has been there since around the 1920s and when it was first built it was the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co.
I hope that helps, thank you for any leads in advance

Not very common, but that appears to be an old Diebold.

It does indeed look like a C-rate Diebold lift-out round door. I would never have found it without knowing the manufacturer.

The dial on these is very unique to the safe. It is missing the lift out handle as said.

This makes sense, as Diebold safes are from Akron/Canton Ohio.

When I get home I’ll compare but I’m pretty sure I have one in the floor that matches it. May be able to confirm for you in a few days.

Ask me about locks, paddling, and bonsai.
