1910 Mosler Vault needs opening!

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

1910 Mosler Vault needs opening!

Postby Patrick88 » 5 Mar 2022 16:51

I have what I think is an interesting situation. There is a 1911 Mosler bank vault in the condo building where I live in Atlanta. It is locked and no one has the combination. It’s really beautiful to look at I must say. Supposedly there are 6000 safe deposit boxes inside. I’m on the condo board and would like to get it open. Anyone have the ability and willingness to open it? Thanks very much.

Hello,

If you could share some photos, that would help our members see the exact model of Mosler you have so we can offer the best possible advice. We can also help you get in touch with a reputable safe technician in your area; the cost to open a safe will vary depending on methods used and how quickly you need it opened.

To upload photos, go here https://imgbb.com/ and click Start Uploading, then after uploading each photo, drop down Embed Codes and choose get BBcode Full Linked and copy/paste the links here for folks to see. Mosler made many many different models of safes and vaults, so the pics will be very helpful.

Would you have any idea as to when was the last time was that the safe was opened? Have you had anyone try anything already to get it open? Does the dial spin freely? Whatever you do, do not try to cut the hinges off, and do not try to bang the dial or handle off with a hammer. That's what a lot of non safe people do thinking it will open the door, but all it does is make it harder and more expensive for a pro to open it later, so keep your local handy men and maintenance guys far away from it.

Looking forward to seeing pics, thank you,
Squelchtone
