My recent acqusition. As noted in another post, the door closes but once closed is almost impossible to open as it seems to bind on a lower step. Not sure if I need to remove the door and insert a shim under the hinge pin. Any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated.

When turning the handle to either lock or unlock, try pressing on that vertical bar with moderate pressure.

I’ve attached some additional pictures that might help.

Picture 1 shows the Lubriplate 130-AA spread across all bottom surfaces

Picture 2 shows the same with the door shut 60% of the way

Picture 3 shows the same after the door was fully shut. I’ve circled where I think the door is striking.
