Mosler safe in a safe

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Mosler safe in a safe

I posted the other day about getting the safe inside my safe open. Seems there is no way my piggie bank can afford. With it in there doing no good how can I just take it out so I can use that room?

I believe it is welded in. Hate to ruin an old safe like that though. Just store your AR-15 collection under your bed like the rest of us..

It looks like a bead of weld on sides and bottom. Think that is all that is holding it? If I carefully cut that bead it wouldn't hurt the safe.

I took all the wood out so I have a clear view of the safe inside the safe. It is welded in on six sides, lots of cutting. I decided to cut through top, went and bought a 7" angle grinder. I finally got deep enough I have a 1/4 x 2" hole. That steel is 1" thick. There is no cement sandwiched between 2 pieces of steel. I can see inside through that hole and see most of the bottom. Nothing inside unless it is against the sides where I can't see. I plan to get hole big enough to get inside and remove the plate on back of the lock, then I'll have questions for the group.
