I don’t have the combination. Has a number on the base of the handle that is p+six digits, but that doesn’t appear to be the combo. I tried that number 3L, 2R, 1L but it didn’t work.
I have also tried to enter it as the serial number on the sentry safe site, but it wouldn’t take it.

Well no wonder you can't get it open, you don't have the combination! How do you hope we can help you with this? There is no trick to turn the dial left right left and have it open in 5 minutes unfortunately. if you can prove ownership, or provide more details, I can send you the same instructions I sent the other people in this thread. Wow, awesome forum and great reading about others that have had help opening the same safe i got. Bought my house 13 years ago, and found a safe in the floor a few years ago. Been trying to reach the previous owne, but they have passed sadly. Is there anyone that can help? It's a Sentry Keep/Safe floor model just like the picture. I've got a P16496* number on it. It's locked, and kinda hard to turn the dial. Really appreciate all help! https://ibb.co/K5TZCrpBest regards Jardar

Hi Jardat, I think you can get the factory combo from Sentry after providing the serial number, ID and some money. That would probably be the easiest way.

Sent all that, but still haven't heard back from them... that's why I would try other options, and this was a really nice forum. .)

Next cheapest thing is calling a locksmith who is registered with Sentry, I have gotten lost combos from Sentry for over 30 years but it's not free--Sentry charges to retrieve a lost combo plus there's a service call
