Cole cabinet with 'safe' help needed

Postby bitbuster » 25 Jun 2026 20:19

Recently purchased another Cole cabinet with super high security 'safe' in upper right corner. It's not the combo, but the push/pull Yale
lock I need help with. The lock is at the top of the cabinet's middle stile, right below the oval Cole logo tag. The cabinet has 2 small drawers and 2 larger drawers on the left side. The old lock was in the top drawer along with the new replacement lock. The Yale lock is being replaced by a Chicago lock. My dilemma is that there is a spring missing. Also, where do the spring's ends attach to? The cabinet is 30.5" wide by 38" high. If an LP101 member has a like Cole cabinet, send me a PM. I would need a photo of the mechanism that the lock is attached to along with a pic showing the spring.
