Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Good morning,
I got your email about your safe.
There are 4 or 5 default combinations. Mine opened to one of those. Once you get a good combo you turn the handles clockwise which turns the lugs inside to open the door. When you turn the handles you will see the circle part around the combination dial turn as well. That is where the red marks (if there are marks) will line up. When they line up the door is unlocked and the door will open. In my case, the handles were difficult to turn at first since it had not been open in decades. I sprayed WD-40 all around the around the circle that is around the combination dial. I worked the handle back and forth until it finally turned the lugs. I did not force it but kept working it back and forth until is slowly worked loose.
Hope this helps.
