Help with Strong box

My Grandfather passed 11 years ago in exploring and cleaning the house we just came across a Stack-On Strong Box Safe. I have 2 keys that look like they would work but only one fits in all the way and I can feel it turn something but the box is still locked? Any help would be nice, Thanks in advance!

That is the wrong type of key for that lock. In this picture, the top two tools are bicycle spokes bent to pick the lock, then there is a key I was making, and the bottom is a file I used to cut the key.



The important parts of the above pictures are the picks (you can find threads here on how to use them) and the key. The key is the type you are looking for.

Last question (I think) and thank you! What type of lock is it?

It's a doulbe bitted safe lock, the keys usually look very much alike, and they are hard to tell apart. Could you maybe fill in the coutry of origin? Locla lockies have much better chance of ID a safe from a key.

you may have to contact the company to order another key, but you will have to prove ownership and jump through some hoops.

It should be from America somewhere probably Pittsburgh because that's where my grandfather lived his whole life...I hope that helps that really about all I have on it. But thank you all for the help!

The lock is a lever lock, and as ARF-GEF stated, it is double bitted - meaning that it is cut on both sides.
