Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Those and Julius Bing safes are common in the antique shops in my area.

Guess I'm weird, I like my safes to be up-to-date, with a nice piece of hardplate between the lock & the rest of the door

For safety, you are right, Bill. But for cool-looking, the old stuff looks so good.

Anyway, the new breed of crooks don't know how to open the old safes anyway.

If you mean the knob knocking yegg's,
They can still knock off the dials and handles as well as anyone

Here is one that recently sold in my area. Not as ornate as one you posted but still okay. Personally, I think they are /were both overpriced.
