ID this safe(?)

Offered to me for $40. Says it's an old safe. I've never seen anything like it, has anyone else? I don't see any locks on it either.

Looks like maybe you could put a single nose safe deposit lock in there to keep it closed. The first pic looks like there is a hole for the nose of the lock, and the second pic looks like there is a slot for the bolt of the lock. How heavy is it?

No idea how heavy it is. The seller has been nearly impossible to stay in contact with and doesn't answer any questions very well.

Thanks Squelchtone! I didn't love the look of it from the pictures and if it's got asbestos in it it's a definite no.

That's good advice. I've seen many of these asbestos laden 'safes' on CL. Another one is the McCaskey register 'safe'/lockbox, also filled with asbestos.
