Sergeant & Greenleaf Dial/Steele Browning safe, lost combo

Sergeant & Greenleaf Dial/Steele Browning safe, lost combo due to previous owner of house I've recently moved into not giving a to try to retrieve it. So I decided to put my safecracking abilities to the test. I'm a little stumped though, been studying through the safecracking for everyone videos on YouTube right? But what I don't get is how to correctly read where the right contact point would be once you get past the point of which your contact point is?.... He doesn't explain this very well & pretty much covers the dial when he explains the next segment of his video. It's kinda pissing me off the way he does this xD. Any pointers would be a blessing, trying to avoid a locksmith altogether, & possibly help others along the way in there future. Thank you!

Don't want to cross the forum rules, so I am excluding manipulation details. I think it will help you a lot to get a second lock for learning. I do not know how difficult your lock on the safe is, as I am just an extreme beginner at manipulation and aren't a breathing lock encyclopedia like some here.
