Help with amazing 1800 safe

Hey all

I just picked up a really awesome antique safe. I'm hoping to do a restore on it. But no combo avail. So I need some help with the dialing sequence. OWner didn't know but there are 4 numbers written in pencil. I tried them but no luck. the numbers from 50 and above are worn off. But looks like the dial only goes to 60 or 65. Hard to tell.

Is this diebold dial like an S&G? 4L, 3R, 2L, 1R?

Any any other info anyone would like to share would be great.

That is a great safe! Unfortunately I don't have much information about Diebold-Kienzles. Diebold-Kienzle had their Peerless lock. It is shown in patent https://patents.google.com/patent/US115231A/en , but I have seen it only with a normal deadbolt. Because of the patent dates on the dial, there are probably more. I can find only the patents for June and August 1870, which are US104020 and US106472. From the complexity I assume they tried to protect it against manipulation, which must not necessarily have been successful. The Peerless locks I have found have 100-number dials and 4 wheels. Because your safe has a 50-number dial and gap(?) it might be a stripped down version in this safe or something completely different.

After more research, I found the same dial online. And its also missing the zero mark and numbers above 50. I havne't been able to ascertain if its 4 wheel or 3 wheel but betting its 4 wheel. And I haven't been able to detect the gate drop indications. If I know where to turn the wheel to when the gate drops, I can start manipulating it....
