Need Help manipulating 2002 STAR AMSEC S&G Safe

Postby RudyNelson » 18 Nov 2024 20:21

Hello,

I am looking for assistance in opening this safe. I have checked out youtube videos and have tried a couple of the methods shown but I am not having any luck. I did call AMSEC and they said they do not have info on this particular serial number.

I was given this safe by a friend. I believe it is empty but I was hoping to reuse the safe for myself If I can figure out how to open it.

This video showing my same safe indicates that there is actually 4 numbers with the 4th number not shared but is discovered after the 1st 3 numbers are known and pressure is applied to the handle while rotating the dial. It does appear to be the identical safe.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a picture of my safe. https://ibb.co/CW2NgMq

Your Amsec safe likely has an S&G 6730 lock. Opening sequence is 4321 LRL R to dead stop.

Thank you bitbuster. Do you think it is possible to open this by manipulation and without drilling or cutting into the box. I would like to reuse the safe if possible.

Yes, the 6730 is the standard beginner's lock for manipulation.
