Where can I get a cheap BiLock?

Postby swiftbash » 18 Jan 2021 18:38

Hello,

I am currently looking for a cheap BiLock for my safe.
I am in New Zealand, and my local locksmith charges $100 for one.
Is there any cheaper places that sell them?

Thanks

https://www.ebay.com.au/ has some used Bilock locks.

Otherwise, $100 to your locksmith for a brand new high security lock with keys and knowing it will fit your safe is well worth it and the normal price.

Good luck,

I checked with them and it was $200, so I can't really get it now.
I am in new zealand, so eBay shipping is expensive.

The problem is that we do not know the format of lock, let alone of the lock cylinder. Without that information, we can not really direct you with any degree of accuracy.

We would like to help. But we need more information.

From my understanding $100-$200 is a common for a Bilock depending on what version it is.

High security costs more money to produce and usually provide more security. If you want high security, you typically have to pay for it.

I have found that cheap solutions usually ends up costing the same in the end with the extra bonus of headaches and frustration.

They are sold uncombinated to accredited locksmiths. They have to purchase the clipper to clip the blanks and the folder to fold the L shape blank to the U shape and these do not come cheap. Australian Lock (the manufacturer) would not to undercut their franchisees by selling keyed cylinders through Bunnings, Mitre 10 etc.

Don't forget the Bilock pin kit, plus I'm sure there's an initial 'buy in'

Of course. There are most probably 15 different pins, 4 ordinary (4 depths), 6 for masterkeying (operates 2 different depths) and 5 for Maison and selective masterkeying (operates on 3 or all 4 different depth). There are no upper pins since it is a sidebar cylinder.
