SIMPLEX Style Lock for Durham Bin Cabinet

Postby vnv727 » 6 Feb 2023 16:47

Hi,

I was hoping someone might be able to suggest a simplex style lock that would work with a Durham cabinet (pics below) I am expecting to come in any day now. Essentially, I'd like to be able to lock and unlock the cabinet without having to worry about a key and I'd like to avoid (if possible) any electronic locks. More particulars about the cabinet can be found here if helpful.
Thanks!

Have you considered a Combi-Cam lock?

Thanks for the suggestion! I had actually considered that style, but I was hoping for something that I could open a bit more quickly and based on tactile feedback alone which is why I was hoping to find a push button style lock. The combi-cam is definitely a good fallback option.

If you could find a padlock that had the kind of mechanism you want, you could use it with something like this: https://www.ultimatesecuritydevices.com ... p_740.html. Maybe something like a Supra pushbutton keybox padlock...

The Master Speed Dial padlock can be opened strictly by tactile methods. Or if you are old school, you could get a Gougler Keyless padlock. Or if you are REALLY old school, a NoKey padlock. Or if you are REALLY REALLY old school, tie it shut with a knot.

Great idea! I didn't even know this existed. Will try this and supra lock that billdeserthills recommended. Thank you all!
