Hi I need to replace a Kwikset Weld-On Deadbolt Hook Lock but cannot find where to purchase this lock. The key is lost but I dont even know the P/N to order a new cylinder. Anyone out there know where I can find this lockset or have any info such as the part number, here is an online image http://www.gatedepot.com/product/duragate-hook-lock/
Thanks Dan

It looks like a standard mortise cylinder. Pick the lock, remove the cylinder, measure and replace it with any other cylinder you please.

You need to measure the cylinder from just behind the head (the big part on the front) to the end of the lock. Looking at your pictures, it is most likely a 1" length, but measure it to be sure!

It is easy enough to find mortise cylinders on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=mortise+cylinder+key&_sop=15 will get you a start. Just make sure you are getting the correct length cylinder, as you measure in the above step. Too long, and it will bind and hit the lock cylinder on the other side. Too short, and it will not reach far enough into the mortise the lock screws into. You will most likely need to unscrew the cam (lever) on the back of the lock and move it to the new lock cylinder to ensure proper operation of the lock.

Good luck!

You need a mortise cylinder 1" with A/R cam. All locksmiths sell these. You can use a longer 1 1/8" cylinder or even 1 1/4" with a spacer. Just make sure you use a A/R cam.

You could have them rekey what you have but that is a junk cylinder made out of zinc diecast. Better to buy one for @ $15 which will be brass and have two new keys.

Well if you were searching for a Kwikset lock its no wonder you were not able to locate information about the Adams Rite deadbolt you actually have...

Is this gate closed and locked ? If so you will need to pick the lock open in order to access the coverplate screws to remove the cylinder...

What the other posters have said about where to find replacement cylinders has been excellent advice...
