good luck picking these with both hands turned away from the key ways.

I can't be sure, but it looks like they'd be easy to pick if you could rotate your wrists (Not rotate the cuffs, but actually change which way your hands are facing within the cuffs)... I'd also want to see the one-way latching mechanism on the back, there might be ways to attack it there.

The one way latch? By that are we talking about the link that rotates in only the one direction. I had a set before I broke them, which is a story in it self, but the tolerances are very tight for trying to get anything into that rotating part.

If you find yourself locked into this set if you can hit the section with the teeth on a hard surface they can break. I broke mine in a foot pursuit and could not use my radio and taser at same time. I dropped them knowing I had another set of cuffs on my belt. They were "pre loaded" with the teeth sticking out and when they hit asphalt the teeth portion broke. The manufacturer at the time basically said they made them so strong they were brittle in that exact scenario which was happening on multiple occasions. They are currently re tooling to fix the problem and they sold the company during it all.

Yeah, that.

You mean hit the cuff/ratchet part?

If you don't mind sharing, where are you located that the police force/LEO's use these?

yes the toothed portion broke about half way down. I am in Tennessee. There were two of us on my department that purchased them. Our department does not have a policy at least at this time specifying handcuffs that can and cannot be used. So if you buy them you can use them pretty much.

Has anyone ever tried to get the chains to lock and then break it.

I found that snapping only worked with cuffs with 3 or 4 links in them.

Me and a coworker have been playing with picking cuffs, 3 years I have worked with this guy and Either he just purchased hidden cuff keys or he has them always either way I was i shock. We did a little with paper clips and Bobbie pins.

The video on the front page there has the cuffs and they have key ways on both sides.
I'd say you could pick them with a bit of effort, maybe even by holding a pick in your mouth...
But actually really cool design with the single direction rotation hinge... Now i gotta get a set! :O

Impressive... I've seen that trick with the double lock before, but I had no idea it could work on the pawl.

This definitely does not work on any of the cuffs I own. Doesn't work with the double locks either...

That does not surprise me, I know lots of people that have hidden handcuff keys on them and dont tell anyone (the would defeat the point of hiding them in the first place.)
I always carry a extra Cuff key on my Key chain and another in my wallet.
