Tension Wrench material that I use....

Hi Everyone,
I just joined the forum today and must say that this may well be my new home. Anyway, back on subject. I have found what I believe to be an excellent material for picks and tensioners alike. Electricians use a thin flexible metal tape to pull wires into conduits, called Fish Tape. I've used this for some time now and have had no regrets.

I like wiper-blade inserts best, followed by bike-spokes and sweeper bristles.

I agree, wiper blade inserts are the best material. Flexible enough to get the perfect tension and also easy to make into the exact shape you want. I find if you take the smaller part of the L and curve it a bit it stays inside the lock alot better with less slipping.

Yuppers, wiper blade inserts... I have about a dozen different versions for different locks.

Actually fish tape is a very good method for making picks. I have never made any but I have a buddy with a whole set, and he loves 'em.

Seems fish tape would be a bit wide and thick for tensioners to me, but perhaps CJ will fill us in on what he's doing with the fish tape to prepare it.
