tension wrench

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

im new to this so you have to bear with me. I would liek to know wat the tension wrench does and wat it is used for. I knwo that it puts tension on the lock but i dont understand why. HELP please

"I don't know what the tension tool is or what it is used for"

"I know it tensions the lock"

What does being from NY have anything to do with it. I live in Maryland which is 2 states down from NY and they are still hard to understand.
