Does ILCO still make lockpicks?

If I remember back to around 1982, they used to manufacture a pickset of their own... or maybe I'm halllucinating again. That tends to happen more and more.

If anyone has a set (presuming they exist other than my warped brain), and the picks are of a unique design, please post a photo.

Nothing really unique about them.

I have a batch of plain with the plastic slide on handles, and I also have a batch of the rubber handled ones as well. I have 1 aluminum handled Ilco pick left out of all of them. If I could find a complete set of those I would be quite happy.

I'll post some pictures of them later on.

I have used the slide on plastic handle models and was not that impressed by them at all. I have ever tried the rubber or aluminum handle models.

Before I post my pictures, I can say without any reservation that they still make and see these picks. However, the only website you can find them on is the Kaba Australia site.

All of the picks and sets pictures there are the standard type that utilize a slip on plastic handle. They mention the permanent handles, but show no pictures. I will try to take care of that this evening.

The pick handles can be removed and interchanged... how stupid of me not to think of this before. I can use modified file handles or something similar to hold a variety of picks.

You're right, nothing really special about the pick tip designs.
