Sesame Decoders

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Sesame Decoders

Postby technik » 27 Feb 2004 4:24

I hane searched around this site looking for people that have made sesame decoders but have had no success. I have read somewhere in this site that these are just flat pieces of metal with handles and should not be bought, and can be easily made. I was looking around though, and found a clear picture of one on the old lockpick site (www.lock-picks.com)

if you look at the ends, they have cuts in them. What im asking is has anyone hade any success in making one, or has bought one and has had success with using?

Understand what it is doing and you will be able to answer your own question. There are posts on this on the forum, but not a specific tool because it is not rocket science.

do the basic research

tear apart a sesamee, and look at the flat sides of the wheels then think about how to slip a thin piece of metal alongside the wheel from the outside and reach that flat and feel it as it comes around. remember, you just need to know where that flat is, you can add five to the number to place it in the right position for opening.
then after destroying a sesamee, when your bloody fingers heal, post the dimensions on this site.
